"Wisdom" James said "You gotta go thru Detroit to get to the Finals."
hahahahhaa...
they're half way thru.

Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Cleveland.

Dang!!  I don't watch Basketball like I used to, but I was enjoying the HELL out of this game.  I missed the last 1/3 of the game (baby stuff)!!  I'll have to fill in the blanks on SportsCenter this morning.

Talk about bad timing.  Let's see, what did you miss?  Well, there was LeBron turning into Superman to score the last 7 points in regulation and all 18 in the two OTs dragging his team to victory.  That stretch included 3 dunks, a variety of ridiculous rise-up, in-your-mouth jumpers and the final game-on-line drive it to the heart of the defense and power it up layup.  Kid was on fire.  I'm officially impressed.

Seriously, any team he's on has a chance for about the next decade.  If he develops some consistency at this level, it's over.  Dude is 22.  If they ever figure out how to get cats to play with him, it's a dynasty in the making.  I think he needs his Phil Jackson.  Don't know if Mike Brown can become that guy, but not so far.

Assuming the Cavs close the deal against Detroit, the Spurs will show you the holes in this Cleveland team, IMHO.  I'm hoping for that match-up.  I don't think even LeBron can carry this flawed team over the Spurs but that's why they play the games.

That and they ran into a buzzsaw.
I don't think the Cavs have much of a chance either but the force is strong with young LeBron.  It will be interesting to see what he's capable of now.  When he develops a consistent mid-range game, it's over.

ABC's announcers are horrible please get the TNT guys.

I like Mark Jackson and Van Gundy OK.  You're dead on about the ABC pre-game / half-time crew; they pale in comparison to TNT's.

Mark Jackson was on crack touting Kobe over Jordan last year.

Pistons need a deeper bench.. Dumars is playing it cheap.. needs to bounce Flip Saunders.. might as well coach himself..

I don't know, Hype.  McDyess, Maxiell, Hunter, Delfino, and Murray is not a bad second unit.  I think they've just maxed out with their core group.  This is about as good as they can get with this group and it isn't quite good enough.  They've got to decide what to do about Billups and with that, what their strategy is overall.  They've got several veterans whose best days are behind them.

I agree with you about Saunders though.  That's two years in a row his team fell apart under pressure and seemed to tune him out.  That's not good.

Didn't put up much of a fight did they?

The ratings for the series probably stink too. Slaughters aren't that entertaining.

The one good thing that can come from this is if the experience of being swept
can put the fire in Lebron's belly to demand the ball more.
Even then the Cavs will need help. I understand that they are UNDER the Salary Cap.

That gives them some options. Maybe THEY make a run for Jermaine O'Neil.

This series was a joke.  Those young, ThundaCats just weren't ready for those old veterans.  It's a shame that the Cavs couldn't take advantage of TRIPLE teams of LeBron James...that guy needs some help, but at the same time, he has to take some of those shots he passed up.
