Marvel Movies updates
« on: July 26, 2006, 02:23:09 am »
Last week many updates were given on Marvel's upcoming films. While DC's projects are still either mum or in the clouds, I'm excited at how fast Marvel's heroes are progressing.

1) Venom is confirmed for Spider-Man 3. Whoopee doo   :P
2) Harry Osborn will not become the Hobgoblin. Yipee skippey! :D
3) Mandarin is confirmed as Iron Man's foe. Of course. :P
4) Abomination is confirmed for the Hulk 2 film. Take that! ;D
5) Tim Story's musing over what the FF2 sequel should be named. And he's promising a better looking Doom.  :D
6) Ghost Rider cast and crew held a panel. Love that Eva Mendes! :D
7) Edgar Wright will be directing Ant-Man. What?  ???
Do you prefer a hero who will confirm your deepest fears? Or a hero who will inspire faith in humanity and goodness?

At least it sounds like they plan to follow the original comic Venom storyline.

Nor should he, he never did in the comics.

Class. Now I'm excited about that film.

I never read the DP-- somebody hip me to the cool factor.  so, uh, is this based on the original 60's version or the 80's/90's weird stuff from Morrisson?

Silver Surfer in upcoming FF 2.  IMO, to make this work, of course CG; I would like to see SS shown in the way like T-1000 was used in T2.  Not in human form but how the animation (CG) worked.

Or a little better. That CGI already feels dated.

It's rumored that Vin Diesel is down with SS, but it's denied from all sides. I think he would do a good job...maybe.

If David Goyer's doing this one, yep -- ya bes' believe it.

He can't ACT!
The Diesel used to act pretty good... but now :-\ Pitch Black = Solid A

I thought I heard they scrapped this idea for budet reasons and that they think SS will get his own Premiere, no?
