'Knob' in the UK is equivalent to d*ck.
eg.
"Shut it, you knob!"

New Page, and I feel the need to say, purely to you HEFfas, cos we keep it real up in here, that there may be a slight gap between the events I record and anything that ever actually happened, anywhere, to anyone. ;D

But don't expect me to repeat that anywhere else.

Re: Longest goal celebration

In the final match of the season between the Spanish local league clubs San Leppe and El Porcos on the 15th June 1982, Porcos midfielder Salvatore Despuidas scored an injury-time winner, helping his club avoid relegation.

Removing his shirt, he ran screaming off the pitch, straight down the road to a Carmelite monastery, where he took a vow of silence and became a monk.

Perhaps Mr. Despuidas had some sort of...epiphany...?  Man, those cloistered nuns must've been one a hellava motivator to influence an athlete out of thier game! ...in the middle of thier game! ;D

The Parish has even set up shop [monastery] in Machakos, Kenya, influencing young nubile  African girls to be nuns!

Well, I believe it was a monastary as opposed to a nunnery, but make of that what you will. OT, I was surprised to find out that my old block of flats in West London was literally just round the corner from a monastary.

Just make sure when (and if) you return to your old stomping grounds, that you don't remove your shirt while walking past that monastery! ;)

re: Kinder Egg Surprise Toys
http://www.kindersurprise.com/home.html
The record for most Kinder Egg Surprise toys is 52, 514, owned by Martin Parsley of Norwich.

Kinder eggs? These aren't Easter egg gifts, right?
I've never heard of this phenomenom. The closest item to this (to me) would be the Happy MealĀ© offered at a certain Scottish restaurant I know of.

Now, I remember way back, a similar story, where there was this woman in the mid-west (US) who went from town to town collecting these HM toys in her collection. I wonder whatever became of her?

Background info:
Kinder are a (Swiss I think) chocolate company, who do little chocolate eggs (like Cadbury Creme Eggs - you guys have those, right?) all year round, with little yellow pods inside with small toys like the ones you pictured. The chocolate's not fantastic, but some of the toys are cool, especially for little kids. They're smaller and cheaper than happy-meal toys though (yes, it is possible).

A few updates down the line, and my research has turned up disturbing facts about fellow HEFfas.

(Seriously Geoff, thanks for the kind words)
