man, it's messed up that Heath Ledger has passed on.  I wonder if this will impact the film?

dang!  god bless the family...
if principal photography was completed, at least the film footage can serve as a tribute/memorial of sorts.. but dang..
I had never heard of any kind of drug problems or anything.. I guess we'll have to wait until the autopsy to know what exactly went down..

This is shocking and sad news.  He looked great as The Joker.  This role would have certainly brought him wider name recognition.  R.I.P.

Unknown number of sleeping pills found beside the body...

I feel for his little girl.

He seemed to have a promising career ahead of him..  You never know what's really going on inside with someone...

unfortunate..

Movie's in the can for sure -- some may have even seen it already -- insiders that is.  Reminds me of Brandon Lee and the Crow :(

Dear Lord, I just got online and this news hit me! What a complete shock! Heath did some good performances. It's hard to believe it was suicide. For his family's sake I hope it's not.  :(

Rest in peace, Heath Ledger.

I hope this doesn't shut down the Batman film. But I swear, this new travesty makes me think this film is jinxed!

It looks like he completed all his work on the film.

Quote from article linked above:

Quote
His most recent on-screen appearance was the Bob Dylan biopic "I'm Not There", and his final full role will be as The Joker in one of this year's biggest films - the "Batman Begins" sequel "The Dark Knight". Ledger had finished all his shooting and post-production work so it will be unaffected by this tragedy and his work should serve as a fitting tribute to his talent.

A tribute? Dudes, when I'll him on the screen, with his make-up and scars, all I'll be thinking is he's wearing a sick deathmask.  :'(

I have to disagree.. I don't think this is similar to Brandon Lee's death..

The original except for Fatty Arbuckle, Marilyn Monroe, John Belushi, Tupac, Biggie, Brittany, Lohan, Paris......

Apples, Oranges and Grapefruit.

Arbuckle suffered thru a sex scandal/rape charge, Monroe and Belushi self-medicated to death, Tupac and Biggie got shot and Lohan, Paris and the Britster arent even dead yet.

Let's wait until there's an offical cause of death before we jump on the "the lousy, druggie, punk, coward killed hisself" bandwagon, shall we?

This isn't Newsrama, after all.
