I heard the song (by an indie artist), thought it should be on rotation on BET, so I had my animation department do a video for it, and now it's in rotation.

I am looking forward in watching BET animation; to see how a % of Blacks act in real life developed in animation as in this video presentation just rubbed me the wrong way.  I feel the beat, the message Read a book, brush your teeth, etc..... it was just knowing and viewing how a % of our family (family I mean Black folk) lifestyle is the way it was shown in the video. 

I would say that this video maybe is one of the most real life protrait video ever.  Just my POV. we all will agree and/or disagree.

I love it.  It is a great satire of how some in our community are misbehaving and it is chastising and showing concern in a humorous way.  It is also told in a way that I think most in our community will understand.   I do not like when entertainment or entertainers try to put down some people in a hateful way and sometimes comedy is used in this way.  I think that this video goes nowhere near that route.

I think that some may find it offensive because they are scared that it may reinforce some White viewer’s stereotypes.  But should we tell our creative black artist to refrain from using funny stereotypical images in their humor because of what some ignorant people may think?  Most will get the joke and not think this is supposed to be a depiction of all black people.     

I first saw the video at the NY Comic Con during the BET Animation Panel.  I also got my copy of BP # 1 signed by the man himself.  It was a good day.
