i hate to say this so early because I know the movie is far from being released, but I just can't see myself enjoying this.  Just let it go, and create a new chapter in the Star Wars world.

As long as they think they can make money from a franchise, they will keep it alive even if it is creatively bankrupt.  I hope that Trek still has some creativity left in it.
Just let it go, and create a new chapter in the Star Wars world.

George is currently working on two more chapters of Star Wars.  He has the computer animated Clone Wars and the live action unnamed show that takes place between episodes three and four.

"Knights of the Old Republic" (if you are talking about the CRPG) takes place 4,000 years before episode one.  Lucas stated that the show would take place during the Empire's reign after the events of episode three.  I loved the game but we will not see it as a show unless something changes.

regardless of what you think of the new trilogy, Star Wars is doing one thing right...expanding the universe without recasting the characters!

didn't see it in the article so thought I'd add, reportedly John Cho and Simon Pegg have been cast in Star Trek as Sulu and Scotty

Pegg as the Chief Engineer?  Harold from “Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle” as the Helmsman Sulu?   I didn't see that one coming.  Sounds good to me.

Karl Urban Confirmed as Bones for STAR TREK

http://www.mania.com/56340.html

Are they going for something different than the southern Dr. Leonard H. McCoy that DeForest Kelley Portrayed?  I don’t see why they would get an actor from New Zealand to play that type of part.
