They are in the zone!

The Katrina episode depicted the conflict that arises between family obligation and selfishness. In addition, McGruder was bold enough to depict the suggestion that the welfare state may have created a sense of extreme dependency amongst poor Blacks in New Orleans. Grandad's accusations of being lazy ass niggers were always followed with "When My Fema check comes in" etc. .

I really think they have the formule down now, by this same time last season there were already a few botched episodes. This time around the balance between commentary and humor is seemless.

Agreed.  The cartoon has hit its stride with Season 2, Ep. 1 and never looked back. I'm loving every minute of it.
