you're right... I was a bit hazy when I posted that..  I was half cocked remembering some of the stuff that was considered canon prior to Zero Hour, i.e. Miller's Year 1, Barr's Year 2, and Dixon's Year 3.  But two retcons later, and they are now a moot point

But I did actually like the fact that they waited to bring Robin into the series!

You can actually see the character mature through the progression of the show.  First with Babs testing his patience, then with the second addition to his "family" you see a much more playful side to him.. finally toward the end of the series he's allowed himself to be more of a hero, and less of a vigilante.  They actually summed up about 20-30 years of progression very nicely in the four seasons that the show aired...  I was was impressed.

That is a good point moor I didn't look at it that way, I just wanted to see more of the supporting cast evolve. Det Ellen Yen was an integral part of the first few seasons then she vanished from the show. Bats would need more than one cop on his side
