V6 is better known but the MJGs had more albums and lasted longer. 
And so my choice is the Mary Jane Girls.

hit for hit, I'd have to say the Mary Jane Girls.. I have to find that Best Of Cd.. Vanity wasn’t the same once she left Prince’s clutches.. er, camp.. and Appollonia.. as fine as she was, what did she do after “Sex Shooter”?  and where's she at now?

WHO was the same after they escaped? Kim Basinger?..crazy, Vanity?...crazy religious, Mytai?....hooked up with crazy ass tommy Lee! I think in the end it all comes down to the producers and although I like Rick, Prince has more Beats

Excellent point.  This Hard Choice is really a proxy battle in the Prince vs. Rick competition.  Remember that? (Prince won.)  I'm partial to Vanity 6 though I think it would be hard to defend musically.  After all, who can name another Vanity 6 track after Nasty Girls?  In terms of visuals though, it's Vanity 6 hands down and Apollonia helps on that score.  The Mary Jane Girls always struck me as kind of skanky.

None of the MJ girls had that stand alone beauty but Vanity, Apollonia, that quiet sister and even the white girl crushed MJ girls I shouldn't have said even the white girl she was alright but Vanity/Susan or Appolonia/Susan were always first choice

Honestly, I'd say the Dolls kill both groups on all fronts.

They don't need to cover anything.
