Obama:More Elected Experience
« on: March 29, 2008, 11:53:18 pm »
Just ran into a tid-bit I wanted to share. Obama actually has more elected experience than Hillary. He was first elected to the (State) Senate in 1997. Hillary was first elected to the (federal) Senate in 2001.

From a VALID perspective he has four years on her experience.

But Obama never had to land under sniper fire, swiftly disembark from an airplane with his child, run head down to a vehicle prepared to spirit his party and himself out of harm's way, thus ruining the pleasant reception he was expecting. Sinbad was lucky to have been traveling with the "First Lady" - she who is always sent to places "too small" or "too dangerous" for the President. He couldn't have been in better and better qualified company.  ::)

 :)

Yes, she lied. She deliberately concocted a fabrication and told the same story on more than one occasion simply to make herself appear as if she is the more qualified Democratic candidate to handle the "red phone moment". Now she's the Democratic candidate who has to handle the "caught red-handed in a lie moment", the "red-faced with embarrassment moment).

You're right, karaszero. The media is trying to let Hillary's lie dwindle into the echoes of cast away statements. She tried to play off her lie as an error of mistatement made because she was "sleep deprived". Well what is she going to be when that red phone rings at 3a.m. in the Oval Office? Food for thought, eh?   ;)

I'll tell you what she'll do...she'll call Sinbad and see where they're going to dinner later that night.  Then she'll saunter over to Bill's room and make sure it's Wednesday and he's only with one intern...Tuesdays are Two for One Night.

State Senate and and US Senate are two different entities.  It's minor league and major league.  Also, that argument would then work in McCain's favor, who has 14 years more "elected experience" than Obama.

...I am curious if the Senator will come back to Michigan any time soon, what with the lingering issue of the delegate count still in question...

Experience is a distraction.

No one has experience being the president except the president. There is no job that makes you better or worse qualified. None. If people had ANY idea of the history of the office, they would know that the only way to have experience at being president is to get the job first.

And, as Bush the Lesser proves everyday, having it doesn't even guarantee you know a damned thing about doing it.

Hilary needs to drop that argument. It makes her look weak and, frankly, kind of stupid as her "experience" doesn't really add up to much. In fact, having been connected one way or another to powerful government agencies for as long as she has and having pretty much ZERO to show for it, demonstrates she's not even as good at getting things done as, say, an Exxon lobbyist.

She needs to put down the mic and back away slowly.

Even if Obama wasn't running, the Rebs would have to run a member of the Nazi party for me to vote for Hilary. The Clintons don't need to have White House access ever again in my lifetime.

Friggin' NAFTA alone should prevent anyone from wanting them in.

Plus the big fat lies.

She needs to bow out. Fast. And, if Obama is dumb enough to choose her for his VP, he's not the man I think he is.

Soon you will come to know. When the bullet hits the bone.

He'd never choose her as a running mate. Sure, there's all the baggage, but what it comes down to is that she's the sort that would have him cut down in order to get the seat herself.
