« on: September 09, 2008, 03:33:38 pm »
Tonight's the night people!
PLEASE WATCH and SUPPORT "Somebodies!"
Two new episodes... 10:30p and 11pm.
The scripts are funny. Trust me.
You'll LOVE this show!

Watch the show...and if you have any questions that you'd like for me to ask the cast when i interview them next week, then email me at thetakeover@vvcradio.com or... leave it here.
Hype... i got you playa.  Yours will be the first that I ask, aiiight?

Anyway, remember, this is the official SOMEBODIES discussion thread!
Chat away!

ps: In episode one, my agent had me auditioning for the "drunk" role.  I'm glad that I didn't get it because the guy that they did cast looks the part. ;)  (plus i woulda missed out on meeting Access Granted)

I enjoyed both episodes tremendously.

The chemistry between the main players is great and the comedy flows naturally.

1st episode line of the night- " You got to have a plethoras of women"
runnerup- " What you trying to say, I'm so Black you can't notice me"

2nd episode line of the night- " You have been in college since the Jim Crow days"
runnerup- " The Bible says there is a time to kill"

that's natural chemistry between the friends because....they're actually friends from college.
:)

but the cast is great.
Hadjii did his thing...acting, writing, directing... my boy is bad!

And Rusty cundief directs the first and last episodes of the season, too!

This was funny. I liked it. I think though I have too much going on to commit to weekly viewing but I bet it will be off the chain as a box set so I think I may just hold off and scoop it up.

you are sh*ttin' me.  He's been to my crib, we hung out at SDCC together, I know him and his wife.  He's a big comicstatue collector, even bought a piece off me. He went to the black pannel with me at sdcc.  We got sh*t drunk together a few times.  Heh.  Word brother, word...

It is a throw back to the early 90s direct to dvd market when it first started and you had genuine talent but not the big ol budget. Don't get me wrong the production is there but the actors energy with the presentation reminds me of those early movies like the Matty Rich joint and shows like the Rock on fox. This is made for no other then black folks in mind. It will be 10 years before our white brothers and sisters can understand all of this.

1. How has the movie and the series changed their relationships, if any?

2. Were they hesitant about bringing the show to BET?

3. What is their opinion on how the South is portrayed in Black media?
