THE TROPHY WIFE!
« on: January 15, 2009, 11:46:34 pm »
This may have already been covered in another thread so bare with me!

Most famous or powerful men usually choose a wife or significant other that is beautiful but never a rival to their own status out of fear of being over shadowed!

You often see super star celebrities or athletes with the high maintenance super models or QT that rarely have a voice of their own! To each his own!

Isn't it interesting the choice of wife that THE BLACK PANTHER made?

In real life most men would avoid the woman with abilities to cause high extreme winds at the dinner table let alone speak her own mind!

I remember some men being very upset at MICHELLE OBAMA in a recent interview with PRESIDENT ELECT BARACK OBAMA where they felt that she over stepped her bounds by interrupting him during the conversation! Excuse the intelligent lawyer in her!

This power couple dynamic can change the standard by which we choose a mate!

THE BLACK PANTHER has changed the game forever!

Just say "NO" to women who can't fly, create cyclones or lead high profile super teams!

JUST KIDDING!

But what do you think of this as far as reality is concerned?

In reference to the character (The Black Panther) it is a compliment to his manhood to have a wife/partner who is his equal in many ways and still be "the man"...it shows he is a brotha on a higher level of consciousness who understands the balance between men and women.  In reality this shows that manhood is much broader than what some define as far as brain, tactics, leadership and education.  President Obama and his first lady provide another example of a couple who are equals in many ways but still have distinct roles and responsibilities ....balance.

I sure wish my wife could fly!

This would save a whole lot of money on vacation trips!

Although she does not read comic books or even likes STAR WARS for that matter she does raise the standard for our son in the education department!

It has got to be a challenging issue for THE BLACK PANTHER who could have ended up playing background singer for MONICA LYNNE!

So should single men seek companionship of someone who many may view as better than themselves to make them meet higher expectations?

This is not to say by any means that ORORO is better than T'CHALLA but her status is something most men do not come across in their super hero lifetime ever!

AND... good post STAN!

A person should marry who they love.

Some guys like women who are cheerleader types, or quiet homemakers.

Those are great women and great choices.

But it's about what's right for you.

I know I got a "storm" at home myself..
