NBA Playoffs thread
« on: April 19, 2009, 09:06:16 am »
Y'all ready to talk major SHEEEITTT  or cry like a baby?

Celtics got slapped up 'aginst the wall by a rookie pt guard.  Could be a 4 game series.  Oh yeah Celtics fans? Didja know KG ain't playin?
Spurs playin' without GGGInnnoooBLEEEEE! lost first game to Mavs, but that series is gonna be a long one.

LeBron might be cruisin' to the Finals, but let's see how the O.Magic stands up in their opening round

Of course I'm just waitin' on the Lakers!

I shouldn't even post my choice since my Steelers beat that ass but I will say one thing...

Spurs.

I like the Spurs, just not this year. I don't think they can get by the Mavericks it pains me to say. Not without Ginobili and a less than fully healthy Tim Duncan. It will be interesting to see what they do in the off-season. This is one of the smartest organizations in sports. Is it time to reload? If so, then how?

Looks like Kobe and LeBron head to head in the finals to me. I think the Lakers are better but I'll be pulling for the Cavs.

Hawks looked good. I like Joe Johnson. Too bad about that second round match-up.

If Parker can keep hot like last night, we might move on to the second round.  Damn I hate playing Dallas.   >:(

All right Hype, I'll play:
East
Cleveland over Detroit, 4-24-0, Pistons will be lucky to get one at home.
Miami over Atlanta, 4-1 Atlanta over Miami, 4-2, How many times can Wade really be Flash? I think twice.
Boston Over Chicago, 4-1 Wow, you're bullish on the Celtics. I think they squeak by in 7. Boston 4-3
Philadelphia over Orlando, 4-2 Really, because the Sixers shot the lights out sneaked by while Howard was out? Orlando 4-2.

West
LA Lakers over Utah, 4-2 4-1 Although that could be a sweep.
Portland over Houston, 4-2 4-3. If Houston can find a way to get Yao the ball, this changes.
Denver over New Orleans, 4-1 4-2
San Antonio over Dallas, 4-2 Dallas 4-3. I don't know if SA can sustain that defensive intensity.

Second round (although I reserve the right to revisit these later):
Cleveland over Atlanta in 5
Orlando over Boston in 6

LA over Portland in 6
Dallas over Denver in 7 (this is a real pick'em though)

Conference finals
Cleveland over Orlando in 6
LA over Dallas in 5

Finals
Cleveland in 7
