Yall stop it. The penalty for adultery in this country is not death. This young ladies mother was murdered and she was raised by a sister. Clearly this is nothing but a tragic story for all involved. I was in college when Steve blew up and I went to school with a few guys who went to Alcorn State. Steve gave some legitimacy to the black quarterback from HBCU. This just in...no one is perfect and what he did for society through entertainment on the field and through his many charitable involvements off the field is what I want to remember this guy for. Oh yea one more thing. In college he once through for 300 freakin yards in a game and ran for another 100. HBCU or not that is a whole lot of offense. You cant even do that sh*t in Madden.

100% co-sign this.  I was at Alabama State when McNair was at Alcorn and he used to tear us up almost every year.  He probably had the 300/100 game against us, I wouldn't be surprised!    I'm glad I got to see him play and represent the SWAC to the fullest in the NFL.

Well.  I for one am sad to hear this.  I wish I could be so high and mighty and condemn McNair for his personal life but unfortunately I am not as perfect as those who can condemn him.  I am sad for his family and for the young woman's family.  I enjoyed watching Steve play and enjoyed seeing him smash through the white wall at the quarterback position when he came into the league from a small HBCU.  I didn't know him beyond that but I am saddened just the same.

The risks are too high when it comes to cheating your spouse you know this. With the many "tragic events" that happens with the jealous spouse or jealous mistress their is always that chance it could lead one getting property damage, placing family members lives in danger, being critically injured or worse like what happened to McNair. Jenn was correct in pointing out that this was an embarrassment to his wife, his sons, and his family. You don't know how your significant other or side piece would react if they feel betrayed or trust was lost. Yea I nut-hugged as a fan. As an admirer of his work on the field is where it stops. I have no opinion on his girlfriend being of Iranian descent. I agree with what you said about Uncle Ruckus Jason Whitlock. Reading your posts on this subject I see why you have issues with this situation. 1) Cheating on spouse 2) cheating with a non-black women.
