Black Panthers
« on: November 10, 2009, 12:20:29 pm »

Just how many have there been (616 & Alternate Reality Versions) ?

How differently or similar do/did they rule?

How many were there before T'Challa & Shuri (616 timeline only)?

& etc (other questions, facts...)  ;D

It would be great if Marvel created another ongoing comic book about the previous Black Panthers of Wakanda. But the fact that the book would always be set in the past might be a problem, I guess.

I think you're right...in that picture above, one of those Black Panthers looks female...the  Black Panther with the orange stripes on top of the mask.

I think it would be really cool if T'Challa found a way to "talk" to his Black Panther ancestors and have them communicate with him as well...but then I realized that would be too much like Lion-O conversing with Jaga in "ThunderCats."

On the other hand, Lion-O conversing with the spirit of Jaga was similar to Luke Skywalker conversing with a spirit Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Another reason why this probably wouldn't work for T'Challa is because Lion-O and Luke Skywalker still needed guidance and training when they were communicating with their spirit mentors...T'Challa is an experienced King and Black Panther, so thereprobably wouldn't be a real need fotr him to communicate with his Black Panther ancestors.

With these choices, I felt that the American black man only needed to choose which one to get eaten by; the liberal fox or the conservative wolf because both of them will eat him.

Definitely female Panthers before Shuri.

And my mini-series is pre-T'Chaka....World War Two, which now due to sliding timelines is now Azzuri's era.  Lil' T'Chaka (and S'yan) do appear though.

Yes.

And please don't listen to the haters. It makes a TON of sense.

Yeah, I think he basically became a King(or maybe Prince?)-regent until a direct bloodline descendant (T'Challa) took over.
