Astonishing X-Men in East Africa!
« on: February 16, 2010, 06:29:07 pm »
This May Storm and the X-Men will be going to East Africa!

The superstar team of Warren Ellis and Kaare Andrews (SPIDER-MAN: REIGN) take X-Men into the Heroic Age!
Something's happening in the tiny East African city of Mbangwi. Something that requires immediate investigation. A newborn sprouts metal electrodes and explodes, taking out an entire hospital. Is this the first wave of mutant rebirth that the X-Men have been praying for…or something very, very different? Something sinister?
Do you prefer a hero who will confirm your deepest fears? Or a hero who will inspire faith in humanity and goodness?

Hey Mr. Maberry You have to import Storm's look into the BP Books, Storm's hair here is a nice blend between her normal look and the punk mohawk

I don't want Black Panther Storm with a mohawk. Keep her regal!
Ex-X-Writer and Ex-X-editor Ann Nocenti writes on Storm:

"At her command, oceans rise, breezes cool, rains pummel, tornadoes destroy, sun dries, seas part."

Take from page 24 or 26 of her novel, "Prisoner X"

Pretty nifty! ;)

I'm not asking for a call back to the leather punk style but the Mohawk is fresh, The Mohawk was regal enough for the Native Americans

That is a different culture. Storm is not Native American nor is she married to Native American royalty. Imagine if the Queen of England sported a mohawk hollering about it being regal in the Native American culture. Keep her hair nice and flowing and regal! A Mohawk is not regal in the Wakandan culture. Nobody up there is wearing a mohawk. Storm looks her best with long, flowing hair and she looks classiest this way.

So Long flowing hair is regal in the Wakandan culture ? what does long flowing hair have to do with anything regal?, Storm would still be regal even if she was bald, but you know what, you may be right, I don't necessarily like the mohawk, but I like the faux-hawk on this cover

While bald can be regal in Wakanda, Storm looks her best with long, flowing hair. Mohawk Storm is cool, but it doesn't fit royal Ororo. Keep it in Astonishing, I say.

OOoOHHhHHh When is this coming out?

I love the Mohawk.

And since when has Storm not been able to rock anything and make it look regal?
I've seen plenty of background Wakandans with Mohawks.
But I do agree, I wouldn't want to see Mohawk Storm in BP (not yet)
I'd rather Storm rock the Mohawk in X-Force with her own set of vibranium knives.
(like the ones she gave to thunderbird)
