Terrence is cool... i enjoyed working with him on the set of HBO's "Boycott."
did he work for me? meh. i was glad he got the gig...he seemed to enjoy it... but he didnt really become Rhodey for me.
who know Iron man would be so huge?
not the producers or directors.
since the 2nd banana cant make more than the instant mega-star they have, somethin' had to give.

I am a huge don cheadle fan. i have no DOUBT that he is gonna bring da pain.

I guess that attitude is what got her canned from Mr. Smith's show.

Here is some insight from Janet Hubert and her experience working on the show, "Fresh Prince of Bel Air"

Joel, you thought Terence Howard made a good Rhodey?

Loaded question.  Even though he didn't look that much like Rhodey to me he was believable enough that I could let it slide and enjoy the movie.  Don Cheadle is a better actor but he doesn't look like Rhodey in the slightest.  They should have given Terence Howard the bump in pay and kept things going instead of trying to save a dollar if for no other reason they had a contract.

Well, neither actor really looks much like Rhodey.  :D

Don't get me wrong, I love Terence Howard in certain roles, but he seemed miscast as Rhodey...like they got him 'cause he was the hot Black actor of the moment.  He's got this uncertain, almost weasel-y manner about him that works great in films like Hustle and Flow, Dead Presidents and Best Man, where he plays bad guys or anti-heroes. But he lacks that force of authority that I think Rhodes needs.  I don't buy him as a man of action.  He's got no strength in his voice.

As for Don Cheadle...well...look no further than Devil in a Blue Dress, Traitor, Bklyn's Finest

Umm, duh, yeah it was designed to make Will Smith a star, the show was centered around him.  What did you expect was going to happen if you pissed him off?

True though that may be, it's still no reason to act like an ass.
