For those interested, for the first time since 2004 I'm doing BP cover recreations from the Sal&Bob period and authorized by Sal.  There's two recent ones still for sale and I'll have the cover to 27 done and posted at this site page (link below) within 48 hours.  You can commission me to do one I haven't done yet as I only make one recreation of each.

Can the person making the request make custom layouts how they want the  drawing to be done?

...or just make a written description of how the drawing can be done? :-\

Battle, if the changes are minimal, I could handle it. And the changes would allow me to repeat a recreation. But if they are a little more involved, that would now be a Sal&Bob commission.
You can always email me your description at bob@almondink.com

For those interested, a cover recreation to issue 27 (Priest run) with Namor & Dr. Doom is now up on eBay:

Thanks for the reply, Mr. Almond! Lemme get my money right...

Yo, people... can you imagine a pen and ink drawing of this cover by the original artist team, matted and hung on your wall?

Get it while it's hot!

Here's what's still remaining of my recent Black panther cover recreations:
http://www.comicarthouse.com/almondrecreations.html
I'm busy inking my partner Sal Velluto on The Phantom for a European publisher but then I'll finish the cover to issue 17 which was mostly completed before the work came in.

Thanks for looking!

Actually, I may not be able to do to a scheduling conflict.  I'm committed to the NYC Big Apple/Wizard show because they're supporting my charity the Inkwell Awards and both shows are on the same weekend. NYCC charges me for space.  I gotta go where I feel the love;-)

Coincidentally following up from the announcement about the upcoming Black Panther Jungle Action Marvel Masterworks I was recently commissioned by a regular client to ink T'Challa's rogues, Killmonger and his lieutenants, over the pencils of Val Semeiks.  For those interested, you can see his gallery images here:

OT: the Inkwell Awards third annual voting has begun!  Please spread the love and support your favorite ink artists at http://www.inkwellawards.com to access the ballot.  Thanks a lot!

Press release:

2010 Inkwell Awards voting to commence on August 15 / Awards ceremony in October!
-------------------

For the third successive year the Inkwell Awards have posted their ballot for voting online on their website (http://www.inkwellawards.com) as of August 15 until one month later on September 15. Anyone can vote whether they be a fan or an industry professional. As previously reported, the 2010 Nomination Committee made up of various respected industry professionals, was chosen last fall/winter and they voted on nominees for the ballot this past spring. Previously the ballot had been posted during the spring and then the summer, respectively, but this year, in order to coordinate the voting period to precede the live awards ceremony that takes place in October, they had to adjust their schedule.

The ceremony will be sponsored by Wizard Entertainment and take place at Wizardworld: New England (Boston) at the Hynes Convention Center on the weekend of October 15-17 (http://www.wizardworld.com/home-newengland.html). It will be emcee'd by IA founder Bob Almond and the organization's Hall of Fame namesake, Joltin' Joe Sinnott, will preside as keynote speaker, and a question and answer session will take place with the award winners. Other IA committee members and ambassadors will be in attendance and spokesperson Ms. Inkwell, as played by model Chrissy Cutler, will also be appearing at the event.

The Inkwell Awards (http://www.inkwellawards.com) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote and educate about the craft of comic book inking and to annually recognize and award the ink artists and their work. Now in their third year, the organization is overseen by a number of industry professionals such as founder & director Bob Almond, Daniel Best, Jimmy Tournas, Bob Shaw, Nathan Massengill who make up the IA core committee and Adam Hughes, Mike Marts, Ethan Van Sciver, Mark Brooks, Sal Velluto, Mike McKone, and Trevor Von Eeden who make up their IA ambassadors. They sponsor the Dave Simons Inkwell Memorial Scholarship Fund for the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon & Graphic Art and host the Joe Sinnott Hall of Fame Award.
