For some of the reviews you guys do, can you name the publisher of lesser known titles?
I buy digital comics from various sources and this would help me out a lot.

Peace!

New Avengers 23 - Come on now, pick up this book, hell read it off the shelf.  THIS is what makes Bendis one of badasses in the game.  This is what I want to read when I pick up a comic.  A fun, good, hot read!

Avengers 24.1 - Another damn good book.  If the rumors ARE true, this shows Bendis can write some X-Men.  I'm all on this ish if he does!

AvX #0 - Bendis Cho...nuff said!

Mr. Terrific #7 (from DC) was a good issue with some twists and it looks like the lead will be edging closer to Aleeka (especially next issue).  Hope its sales pick up.

Aqua Man #7 is just a very good comic right now...Geoff Johns and Ivan Reis are setting a high standard of professionalism with this run so far and few other titles are as consistently good at Marvel or DC....you don't know what will happen in each issue and it's all good plotting, pacing, characterization and dialogue and the art just takes this level of work to another level.  It just doesn't get any better.

Legion of Super Heroes #7 was a bright spot & it's getting better now...it seemed like Paul Levitz lost some of his heat when this title relaunched but he's back on track now like a year ago....the story was filled with tight action and the inclusion of Harmonia brought the intensity.

Wolverine #303 is just more of Jason Aaron's spectacular run on this title...he now introduces a new Silver Samurai with a revived Mystique and Sabretooth and gives them all new twists and better characterization.

Mr. Terrific #8 (DC) was a well written finale to this book (for this run)....wish it could have gone for 100 more issues....the writing ended with a bang and the lead got a romantic scene with Aleeka.  Good action and some twists thrown in to make this the pick of the week.

Wolverine #304 is Jason Aaron's final issue on this book....man he will be missed...not sure if it's worth it when he leaves.....he brought so much to the series and has sent all characters in new and exciting directions in this issue....

Firestorm #7 has been hit and miss...not sure what to make of the writing style, dialogue or characterization.  It seems to be a little loose and needs to be amped up to another level before it's solid.  An ok issue.

I agree, the finale was hot.  Can't wait for E2.

This book made me want to gouge my eyes out :)

Spider-Man: Did I hear right, does Wolverine run a school now?
Wolverine: Yup
Spider-Man: You run a school?
Wolverine: Yup
Spider-Man: With children?
Wolverine: Yes

Channeling my inner Hulk - Jesse hate Bendis speak!!!

On a side note, I don't really read much Marvel anymore.  Thor is back already?  What was the point of his dying in Fear Itself?

I've been so busy working that I haven't been to a shop in weeks, so I bought the biggest stack of comics today that I might have ever copped in one purchase.

It will take me a while to work through these, but it's a pleasure.

Here are the standouts so far:

THE SECRET SERVICE #1 - Brilliant name and so far a great concept.  English working class characters but man I totally relate to them.

ULTIMATES #8 - Still amazing. Art and writing are top notch.

ANIMAL MAN #8 - Book is still arguably the best of the new 52.

ULTIMATE SPIDER MAN #9 - Good set up issue.

DEFENDERS #5 - Finally this book is the anti-Avengers book in tone.  Very loose, as much about the individuals and their inner journeys...not so much about big missions.  Beautiful art.

BATMAN #8 - Best new Batman villain in a generation.

AMERICA'S GOT POWERS #1 - Good story, but the real star is Mr. Hitch on the art, which is epic.  Loving this new book. Can't wait to see what happens next.

THE WALKING DEAD #96 - Soooo close to issue 100, you know something awful will happen.  Especially with all this optimism and lurking danger colliding in this story.

IRON MAN #515 - Still loving this book.

CROSSED/BADLANDS #3 - Such a dark, ill book.  I can't leave it alone.

SUPER CROOKS #2 is very good.  Big step up from the first issue.

SUPREME #64 was also damn good.  Erik Lawson's taking over the book and looking good so far.

ULTIMATES #10 the book is as amazing as the cover, which is beautiful.  This is one of the great story lines of the Ultimate U.

ULTIMATE SPIDER MAN #10 - Wow this book is now MY Spider Man title.  Gripping, and great art.

WALKING DEAD #97 - Clearly about to start an epic new storyline.  And this close to #100?  I'm nervous...

BATMAN #9 - Loving seeing Batman in giant armor.  And one of all time great Batcave props becomes a player!

FF #17 - One of the best stand alone issues ever.

ACTION #9 - Love black Superman.  But why did Black Wonder Woman get a perm?

ANIMAL MAN #9 - one of DC's best books.

IRON MAN #516 = Like X MEN, Iron Man is a book ahead of its time. It's such a better book for this era and the writing shows it.  Loving this ongoing storyline.

INVINCIBLE #91 - This book keeps getting better as well.  Great supporting cast.

ORCHID #5/6 - Catching up with this helluvbook from Tom Morello. Order on REGGIESWORLD!

MOON KNIGHT #12 - Good end to the series.

TAKIO #1 - Gonna try this out on my daughter and see if she digs it or not.

SAGA #2 - Wow, this got really good.  Story and art are mighty strong.

WOLVERINE AND THE X MEN #10 - Smart story, lots of good character stuff.  It get more clear that Scott is just an angry man....very pre-Magneto.

RESET #2 - Peter Bagge is mighty brilliant.  Good to have his voice back in comics.

IRON MAN #517 - I keep loving this book.  The super villian flashback at the start alone is worth the price.

FURY: MY WAR GONE BY #2 - Perfect story and art.

JUSTICE LEAGUE #9 - This is the first issue where I feel like the book has found it's groove.  I even liked the back up Shazam story!

FANTASTIC FOUR #605 - Damn Hickman stays on fire with this series.  One of the rest runs on the book ever.

SAGA #3 - Great writing and art.  Totally engaged.  This is a great example what only a comic book can do.

Flash #9 finally gets to the heart of the character and gives the lead some rooting value...actually was going to drop this book but this issue shows signs of potential....good characterization and drive (better writing).

Aqua Man #9 is just another good issue in this series and Geoff Johns is on top of his game and the art is just fantastic....never thought this character would have me hooked!

Ultimate Spider Man #10 was very good and shows Bendis can write successfully some of the time (generally not a fan) but he is bringing all his best skill to this recreation of Marvel's most famous web slinger to satisfying results.

Age of Apocalypse #1 to #3 has been surprisingly gritty with character driven storytelling - the backdrop is an alternate XMen universe where most of the heroes are now villains and humans are near extinction levels.

DC's Legion of Super Heroes #9 places Paul Levitz back on solid ground with his writing (before the new 52 relaunch) and he seems ready to roll now with his story and pacing.  Still whatever happend to the reveal on Mon-El?

Iron Man #516 & #517 are both very good issues and the creative team of Fraction/Larroca is just rocking this series - it reminds me of the old stuff from back in the 80s        when Tony's alcoholism led to Rhodes taking over (some very good material to revisit).
