Hollywood Obituaries
« on: September 30, 2010, 08:45:46 pm »
Recently we've lost many talents in Hollywood. Just as the 20th century is finally closing its curtain so have its old hats been put to rest. Here are some of the names that stand out to me.

Actor Tony Curtis, who starred in many great films like "Some Like It Hot". He was the father of Jamie Lee Curtis.
Editor Sally Menke. Editors were long considered invisible in the Hollywood glamour. They are instrumental in what makes a great film. Ironically, it's been a profession where women excelled in since the Golden Age of Film. Sally Menke was the editor of some of Quentin Tarantino's films.

To the others who've also passed away, God bless.
Do you prefer a hero who will confirm your deepest fears? Or a hero who will inspire faith in humanity and goodness?

Wow!    I just found out about Ms. Menke's passing just now!    Oh my gosh...! :-\

I've felt that Quentin Tarantino would've been nobody without her style of editing.
