10-Year Old Gives Birth to First Baby

The world is astonished at the news of a birth in Spain last week.  It wasn’t any kind of exceptional religious turn of events, but a young virgin did give birth.  A 10-year old girl and her baby made it through labor with no problem, but Spain’s social service department isn’t so sure that the baby should stay with her.

An agent was sent out to the house, but they didn’t take the baby.  This case is not just an ordinary run of the mill case where there has been some sort of crime committed in order to delineate then determine what is best.  The child that the young girl was pregnant by is also a minor. So what do you do?  What should the answer be? You make the call.

As a father of 2 girls, I PERSONALLY don't like it either, but "super pitiful"?
It's their belief as Gypsies, right? Many consider male circumcision to be barbaric, yet it's done to infant boys everyday in America.
Sometimes we have to step outside of our ethnocentric view of things.
