What would happen if the X-Men moved to Wakanda?
« on: October 31, 2009, 01:31:11 pm »
Before the X-Men (and other mutants) left America the X-team decided to
place themselves, and the other mutants that they've rescued, in Wakanda.
Especially now, since Norman Osborn bard them from ever returning to that
country again.

How would wakandans feel towards these foreigners in their land (who
can never go back to the one they left behind)?

Would some (or most) american foreigners like or love Wakanda and
how would they cope with being exiled from America if some (or most)
foreigners ever missed it?

What would happen if Magneto comes along and wanted to stay in
Storm (Queen Ororo)'s new home country?

And most importantly, would Norman Osborn take any chance do everything
in his power to attack Wakanda and the exiled foreigners while T'Challa
is out of comission as the Black Panther and the king of Wakanda?

Wow.

A mass X-odus( I hadda do it!) would freak out the Wakandans who are xenophobes under the BEST of circumstances. The fact that the Mutants as a group probably outpower them would make them freak out all the harder.

Even if B.P. and Ororo placed the Mutants in one of the border contries that they control like Niganda-Civil War would still be the result.

The crazed nationalists and the crazed separatists would finally have something to agree on.

So the X-Men would be in a position where they are helping to defend the king  and Queen against large factions of thier own people

And not all the mutants living under the X-Men's protection are good guys. There's a good chance that they'd only fight for whoever paid them the most. Which could very well be Osborne.

And those are just the non-ambitious evil mutants(like Sabertooth). The ambitious ones like Magneto would attempt to take over Wakanda outright.

It'd be CHAOS.

But really entertaining. ;D

That said I could see a team of X-iles ending up in Wakanda. Havok, Polaris and Marvel Girl will need somewhere to go after they return to earth(and it looks like the Professor is wearing out his wecome in Utopia).

I believe Pixie would annoy some or few of the wakandan people
by becoming talkative (or very talkative) when she's asking questions
and/or other things.

Or just one wakandan (if not some or few of them).

Also curious about how the Panther God would react to all of these outsiders being allowed in.

Would the wakandans and their tech be able the withstand against
the X-Men's enemies such as Apocalypse or Sinister if they
come to Wakanda to get revenge on the X-Men or capture mutants
to experiment on (respectively)?

Maybe Sinister would have his Mauraders to
steal the wakandans' technology for his own use
and/or capture the wakandans to see what makes them tick.

Without question Wakanda should be a haven for mutants especially those outside America. Storm as a mutant leader--maybe THE mutant leader--is a nice plotpoint woefully underplayed. That is one thing I'm looking forward to in Doomwar is the interplay with X Men and the FF which should be strong parts of the Panther universe.

If this "moved to Wakanda" scenario were to happened than
it's possible that an issue of Black Panther (vol. 5) can
become a Necrosha tie-in one.

Or maybe there would've been more than one issue of BP (vol. 5) that be Necrosha tie-ins.

Well, If I was marvel and if i was serious about getting Black Panther and is core being very important, i would at *least* have a faction of of mutants to Wakanda under Storm.

I can imagine Ice-Man & Sunspot doing their best to appear as hot/sexy
as they can to the wakandan women and/or impress them by doing things
that the wakandan men can do.

I can see the two not getting the women in the latter scenario because
those females would prefer or still prefer wakandan men rather than
foreigners.

But, then again maybe some, few or one of the wakandan women would.

If the mutants came to Wakanda then Cable & Hope Summers would also go
there once they return from time travelling from different eras and escaping Bishop.

When they arrive in Wakanda, some might Wakandans see Hope as a threat, maybe more
so like Bishop had/does, and wouldn't want her and/or the rest of foreign mutants there either.

T'Challa & Storm would allow Hope to stay in Wakanda.

T will be prepared for Bishop (and any allies he'll have) in case
the former X-member comes to Wakanda to try and kill her.

Sooner or Later, Bish would've team-up with T'Challa's rogue gallery or
with a group of Wakandans who'd kill Hope because they believe his theory
on who/what she really is (if he'd even team-up with somebody at all).
