Marvel Universe Update book, there was a listing for the Cosmic Cube. In it, it detailed the involvement of a
Dr. George Clinton, and his lab assistant,
Bernard Worrell, and how they were instrumental in the creation of the cube in modern Earth society.
At the time, I posted a thread on a previous incarnation of the HEF forums.
Anyway, I was just skimming through
Comic Book Resources, someone else found the original comics (with scans) where this info is confirmed-- in addition, there is revealed a SHIELD agent named William Collins who leads the 'Bootsy Squadron' in battle
Looks like Peter Gillis was the original writer behind these issues. I'd like to see these characters in some modern comics..
