I have.  20 years ago.

They're beautiful, peaceful well-kept gardens.   Lots and lots of space.

If you've been to the Masters or anyone of the major golf courses in the South, you've been to a plantation.

Yep, you're right...   those golf courses in South Carolina were formerly plantations.


I got one for you guys.   Has anyone ever visited the old slave auction building that sits in the center square in Fayetteville, North Carolina?
I had photos posted in photobucket but mysteriously they've been deleted. :-\

From an Auction House before the Civil War...
Then converted into a Market House...

Now, it is a landmark.
