You can obviously see that the 3-D will probably be POV.

Strong trailer.  Introducing the parents mystery is smart.

Mechanical webshooters still make no sense to me.

So that Spider-vision thing is supposed to be 3-D? Okay I can accept it a little better because it looked so fake in the trailer. As for the rest of the trailer it looked good. Even though I think this reboot is coming too soon, I'm glad they are taking the comics more into account.

I've watched this trailer a lot, catch the shadows being cast as he moves through the city.  :D

...hmm.. I see that Pete has his accident at the same place, apparently, as where Dr. Connors works? Is it Oscorp? Heh..

..I see Pete having dinner at the Stacy's home.. how many siblings does she have here?

..Pete's parents have a backstory here.. hmm, and apparently Pete is 5-6 when they meet their fate.. Wonder if they are still secret agents here.. (in the Ultimate comics, were they government scientists?)

..I wonder does Pete become a wrestler here.. hopefully the Burglar is still the killer here, and not Flint Marko..

..Webcasters have returned.. clearly a nod to purists.. i'm somewhat disappointed.  But since they went there, I want to see lots of new shapes created with them.. parachutes, missiles, giant clubs, etc.

..So, I wonder will Pete lose the mask in the climax of the film.. or will the filmmakers actually do something other than the typical..

I love that he appears to be damn near excreting spiders...which makes making your own web fluid a natural.

having a complete face mask during the finale means there's no emotion from the actor.  Tough one to overcome.

i don't even care even if the film turns out good. More of a cash grab to prevent marvel from rebooting the film.
With these choices, I felt that the American black man only needed to choose which one to get eaten by; the liberal fox or the conservative wolf because both of them will eat him.

I would have been open to seeing this, but I have absolutely zero interest in seeing the origin story again.  He gets bitten, uncle ben dies, with great power blah blah blah.

Everybody wants to grab cash.  Sony, Marvel, they all have the same goal.

I can't any imagery from here (I'm on a mobile phone) but since the issue of money came up in the discussion, just think of the merchandizing potential of toy web shooters that may spin off from this latest flick...

I'm fully aware but honestly the 3rd one was a disaster and now one has to view a "reboot" of the origin again? If im not mistaken FF is suppose to "reboot" too.  ::)

Jesse, if you're in Detroit this time next year, I'll buy your ticket..  ;)

Cash grab it may be, but it will probably end up cheaper for Sony and Marvel than the alternative of doing a Spider Man 4.

After 3 hit movies in a row(Spider Man 3 made money despite all the online beefing) you would have had to break the bank to get back Rami and McGuire even if you want no part of Dunst at this point. Also remember that James Franco blew up after SM 3 came out. So bringing HIM would have cost you too(even if you figure out how to get around him being dead).

A Spider Man 4 would involved Sony unloading dump trucks full of money at the feet of a bunch of folks.

This way the studio can throw thier dough at effects like they want to.
