A couple of my favorites are:
Lyrics of Fury and I Know You Got Soul which features one of the great hip-hop lines:
"It ain't where you're from, it's where you're at"
"Seek first to understand, then to be understood."
"Be hard on systems, but soft on people."

PAID IN FULL!

A seminal track on a classic album.

That track still lights up any Brooklyn block 24 years later.

But how come I KNOW YOU GOT SOUL was not on the original list?  Because if it was it would be a dogfight between that and PAID IN FULL for me.

...almost too many to choose from..
but my favorite album cut.. "My Melody".http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a91rv2vTl4o
one of the best slow-track flows in hip-hop history... a lost art..
i take 7 MC's put 'em in a line
And add 7 more brothas who think they can rhyme
Well, it'll take 7 more before I go for mine
Now that's 21 MC's ate up at the same time

... today's mcs wish they were as quotable..
