What's the name of the award for the movie where well meaning 3 dimensional white people save 2 dimensional black people?

Yes, John Coffey had magical powers, but I'd say he was more in the mold of CJ Memphis.  Bagger Vance is more the epitome of the "Magical Negro", taking a downtrodden or slumping white man and through sheer Zen sayings and obvious observations, pulls him up to being a champion or winner.  Therefore, I stand by the Bagger Vance Magical Negro Award.

Second.  Also, even though I LOVE both Will Smith and Matt Damon, at the time Will was a much much much bigger star and him carrying Matt's bags was crazy.

Le't put it in perspective.. Wouldn't you still complaining if it had been Matt Damon favorably "influencing" Will? Then we would be talking about how the black character can only make it if whitey lends him a hand.

No, people help each other all the time, regardless of race, gender, etc.  But young, vital Will, dressed up like the character from SONG OF THE SOUTH, helping this guy play golf is just absurd on many levels.  I mean, who cares if his golf game gets better?

Conversely, I'd love to see Will and Matt in an action film together.  Now THAT'S how you remake I SPY!

See...you weren't playing along!  That premise is the basis of The Blind Side Award! ;D  Currently being run away with by the ensemble cast of The Help!
