I love Storm, but Valkyrie should skool Storm hand to hand. But Storm realistically should have mopped the floor with Valkyrie and did so in a snap...unless Valkyrie has Quiksilver or Photon level speed.

Valkyrie Trained with Thor, right? She has centuries more combat experience than Storm does.Val should mollywhop Daredevil and even Shang-Chi [unless Shang pulls off that Brahman Chi thing hinted at in old skool Chinese texts and older skool Hindu texts ]. Not Black Panther though...T'Challa is too sneaky mean and prepped. Plus T'Challa could match her experience by drawing upon the collective spiritual link he has with his ancestors so he could conceivably pull a power feat and temporarily amp his fighting skills to immortal levels.

Waitaminnit...can't Storm call upon the knowledge of her Magick Ancestors or something?  Couldn't Storm use her link with Life and stuff just to stomp the crap outta Valkyrie in a "Powers" showdown?

Storm could have evacuated the air from her lungs and set up an electric storm in her nuerons. Storm could have reversed the air pressure around her steed, forcibly grounding Val and her Pegasus, then superheated the air around Val while simultaneously sparking a hurricane in her intestines.

So yeah. This is Val's story and she gets the goods in this one. Congrats. Cuz on a level playing field? Storm puts  that project pimp slap down on her.

How could they pit Storm vs Thor after they have her whopped by Valkyrie? We're to take that serious?

Storm vs. Val. wasn't a real fight. Remember, Storm was holding back a lot in that find. She kept trying to offer Valkyrie the chance to surrender rather than cut her to shreds with her winds. Also, Storm was grossly devalued in that fight in numerous ways. She could have easily wielded her powers within a city to take out Valkyrie. We saw her take out a sentinel with a hurricane over NYC circa Uncanny 99. Cyclops was scared she would destroy the whole city with her elemental attack, but she said she told him there was no need to worry as she had complete control over her powers so that the sentinel was the only thing destroyed. She could have taken out Val in so many ways its not even funny. Plus, with her ability to feel energy and objects moving through the environment should have made it impossible for Val to sneak up on here. Perhaps, in pitting Storm against Thor, we will see a Storm in full force rather than a devalued character as we saw in the instance you brought up.

Oh for God's sake!

She got her ass kicked, she lost! Happens to the best of them, no shame in losing...except when excuses are made.

Well its a comic book so I don't think it should be taken but so serious lol. I've read books where Spidey can take on and beat a power cosmic weilding herald of Galactus, yet sometimes he has a hard time beating the Kingpin...

Dont tell any storm fan that. They'll catch fits. This is the same type of crap that fans of other characters as well. Let a "well known" character lose to the "3rd rate no name" all hell breaks loose

Very good point regarding spidey. Spidey was never supposed to be that strong in the first place but hey sh*t happens. As long as the writer makes it "believable" then kewl. Now the one fight that was just silly and beyond stupid was Rulk vs watcher.

I don't think anyone likes seeing a character they like "job". I recall folks outraged T'Chaka beat Captain America.

That is exactly my point and I find those complaints to be BS. I'll admit as a fan I was slightly upset about Nova being "demoted" on Secret Avengers. Also Cap using the Nova Force like it was nothing. I guess where I was coming from Nova took on Annihilus, the wave, save the galaxy more than once and he back on earth with "secret duty". It is just that storywise it didnt make sense. You mean to tell me that a person whom is basically on a fancy thing of steriods is able to achieve anything like that? That where I was coming from and I was growing tired of "known" characters getting things easy. Where lesser known characters dont get their chances to shine.

Yeah I don't get that one. Cap is supposed to be peak human, and T'chaka presumably had taken the heart shaped herb which does basically what the super soldier serum does. So two not quite superhuman guys fight and one guy won. ??? Those who had a problem were probably mad that the black guy won or were upset that the fight was changed from how Priest originally wrote it.
