As long as Bendis stays away from any books I care about, I'm happy.

So let him mess up the Xbooks.

I don't care about the others, but please don't let him touch X-Factor.

The X franchise has been off for a while except for anything Jason Aaron, Peter A. David and Remender are writing (Wolverine & The XMen, X Factor and X Force).  Not a fan of Bendis but he couldn't be any worst than Carey or Brubaker or Gillen.  Will wait & see what he writes and decide if it's worth any money being payed for it.

Ya I have to agree Brubaker was terribad. I like the "lost summers" but still it was kinda silly what he did

Still no solid evidence on whether this is rumor or not from what I hear.  I hope the hell it is true though.

Hope to hell it is just a rumor...

And I frankly liked Carey's run... well... his second go at it, anyway. Couldn't get into the first run at all.

Brubaker's permanently on my bad side for that Vulcan @#$%. I wasn't a Banshee fan, but that was a punk death and a half.

Best joke of the moment.....from someone on www.uncannyxmen.net:

"More evil than Mr. Sinister, more dastardly than Apocalypse, Bendis is the worst villain the X-Men have ever faced."

Avengers #10 (almost 2 years ago)...makes me wonder, did Bendis plan this all along??  Ultron War is next isn't it next year?

i guess Hickman isn't the only person who does a boatload of pre-planning.
i'd love to see that whole poster blown up.
i wonder how many other eagle eyed folks saw that (or remembered that) too!

Listen to my entertaining radio show, "The Takeover: Top 20 Countdown" at www.top20takeover.VVCRadio.com.

Right on to the real and death to the fakers!  Peace out!

Really not excited about this change in the X world...Bendis does not generally write good long term stories with teams (dialogue, pacing, plots, etc)...he's over the top and his stories are mostly plot driven (ie The X vs A story right now even HOM years ago)...didn't care if Hope was killed in the first couple of issues (no emotional connection to her after all this time)...didn't even really think they handled Professor Xavier's death properly....it seemed a little convoluted.  Just not the type of story that rings true...IMHO.

But what I think he's good at is characters and believe me, X-Men need to get that back imho.  He 4 of the 12 issues of AvX I believe and after reading issue 12, I think he's brought the universe when it was supposed to be and was going 8 years ago.  We will have to wait and see I guess.

He's good at writing characters the way he wants to write them.  So Beast will start saying oy, many characters will say "just say'n" and everyone will feel the need to ask  another character to repeat themselves.  If you want to see good character driven "modern day" X-Men stories, try these out.
