You can yack all you want, it's not changing the market or the industry.

You think it's all talk at this point?  You think I'm the only one who feels this way?

Think again...

Kinda off topic but..

I think whats taking a big hit is the sales and rentals of anime.

Here at my store we sale and have over 15000 anime dvd's for rent.  Both have taken a hit from online services and torrents, but we still come out in the black in that depanrtment...now.

b) A liar who is a fan who can't admit it to himself or others."

Marvel Anime Shows
« Reply #17 on: March 01, 2012, 10:38:25 AM »
Is anyone else watching the Marvel anime shows on G4? They are aired on Friday night, 11pm-12am. They also show repeats.

Overall, I think the Blade show is just okay. Basically, Blade is going through Asia hunting Deacon Frost and this vampire group called Existence. He has a teenage sidekick Makoto and her dog Razor (I'm not joking). Harold Perrineau voices Blade. His voice work doesn't do anything special for me. Perhaps they needed someone with a little more base in their voice. However, I do like how Blade looks. He doesn't look as corny as they usually draw him in the comics. I don't care much for the animation in general. It doesn't have the fluidity it should, IMO. The action scenes are lacking. One of the highpoints though is each episode features vampires drawn from the lore of the Asian countries Blade visits. If you are a Blade fan I recommend it, though being a Blade fan I think you'll shake your head at the disappointments in this series. The potential was definitely there.

With Wolverine, I like the story (for the most part), though they now too have teamed him with a teenage sidekick. Opposite to Blade, I don't like how Wolverine has been designed. He's too skinny. The voice work is fine though. The story seems to take elements from the Claremont/Miller Wolverine work.

I've been watching Blade, which just premiered and repeats of the Wolverine show. However, Blade was replaced with the X-Men anime cartoon last week. Anyone know if that is a permanent thing?

I liked Iron Man best; liked Wolvie and I liked X-men but Blade bored me and gave up on it.
