I’ve long thought funk…particularly P.Funk…lent itself to stretched out jazz renditions. Thanks to a lucky encounter with Shock G from Digital Underground at the Vancouver airport, I can share this link he sent me of just what I’ve been hankering to hear. Funkentelechy is a perfect track for such treatment. The video isn’t much to look at but the music is divine.
