Last post featured an Indian version of TERMINATOR that topped any of the non-Cameron sequels. Now here’s a dope Japanese remix/update of the giant monster movies of the 60s and 70s, and the TV shows that followed (notably ULTRA MAN, a personal favorite). I know there’s a US remake in the works, but I fear losing the eeriness of tone in these clips.

Comment + PermalinkI’ve long thought funk…particularly P.Funk…lent itself to stretched out jazz renditions. Thanks to a lucky encounter with Shock G from Digital Underground at the Vancouver airport, I can share this link he sent me of just what I’ve been hankering to hear. Funkentelechy is a perfect track for such treatment. The video isn’t much to look at but the music is divine.
